man i know what you mean. the only time i could wait for my tank to cycle was when while i was gone my tank flipped of its stand. my dad called us and told us to get home NOW!!! it was time to upgrade anyhow so we went bought a 55g and had to put the fish in immediatly. all in all lesson learned from that. check your stand before putting a tank full of water on it...

My little sister's a bit like that too... Was so impressed by my 90 gallon that she convinced my dad to buy her a one gallon... filled it with water and gravel and added fish on the same day, even after I advised them both not to. Tank has no filter or heater and is completely cleaned every year or so... Last betta died, so they went out and got another one. Same conditions. 
Hahaha I have exactly the same story. Little cousin saw me massive ponds and he just wanted it. He's only 11 and mommy will do anything for him. They went and got a fish tank (only 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm) and they brought 5 oscars and 10 fancy goldfish. I told my aunt that its either the goldfish or the oscar, they wont exist together.
Well a week later i get a call from my aunt asking if I would take the oscars off her hands because they killed all the fancy goldfish. I went there n lectured my aunt and uncle about fish, and instead of listening to me, they decided to insult me instead on the fact that their son brought the fish because he saw me having lots of fish. I flipped out at them saying "WELL WHAT THE **** AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THEN? THROW AWAY ALL MY FISH BECAUSE YOUR SON COULDN'T PROPERLY TAKE CARE OF THEM? I TOLD YOU TO NOT MIX OSCARS AND GOLDFISH! BUT YOU DID! DID YOU EVEN LISTEN TO ME? NO! SOMETIMES I WONDER ABOUT YOU TWO, AS ADULTS, WHAT PART OF THE BRAIN DO YOU USE TO THINK?" So I stormed out of their house only to come home to have my mom ***** at me for flipping out on my aunt and uncle. Well after that they got 5 fancy gold fish and a pleco. Guess they are sticking to that now.
I dont like it how my little cousin always wants to follow upon the things I do. I mean, he's seen me skateboard and wakeboard, and tried to emulate me and the first fall he has, he gives up upon it. Never mind that his dad payed a lot of money for a skateboard and wakeboard (and wakeboarding is way more expensive than skateboarding). I dont consider myself to be a role model at all, because the things I do pretty much denounces me from being a role model. I mean I rep the four twenty and party a lot, so I should not be someone an 11 year old follows.
I wish he would follow my other cousin, he's academically enhanced and doing very good in school. Plus as compared to me, he's pretty much a straight edge person. Oops now I'm going off-topic haha.

but id like to give a quick up date of the fish hoarder
starting with the 55. since the start of the tank and the 10 large catfishes he is now down to one large tsn and a bunch of plecs..claiming that the air stone want out and the all died for that reason, they went and bought a bunch of oscars.. like 4 6"in the 55 tank with the tsn they have been over fed so badly the look like 2 lb burger patties the anal cavity is starting to cave out and the water is so dark i have to search for the fish when they arnt at the top of the open top tank o and the filtration is a hob ac for a 55
as of the other 20 0r 30gal they have the some of the gourami like 6 they are grape shaped, a yellow lab witha crooked face (i call it crook face) i guess he messid it up some how dropping decor on it , a channel cat like a few tetras and mollys and a nother crap load of alge eaters..also a hob for that size tank
his fish are always obease and crapping because they keep feedin them...i asked why they had so many plecs they said MORE ALGE EATERS = NO NEED FOR WATER CHANGES AND ONLY IDIOTS WAST WATER
they had a baby oscar in the 30 as well it grew up to kill a few gouramis and questioned me about it
i mean warned them trying to to argue wit them ive told my lil cuz my unk...
my aunt, my anuties devorice but she is my blood aunt but i havent seen his tank at her house but im sure its disgusting
