Sponge Filtering 72g Bowfront?

yes its a bigger bio filter ,again I would run 1 on air and 1 on a powerhead(maybe an ac 50). its easier to clean also 1 sponge on each stak , to avoid amonia spikes.

I run the dual sponge filter like in your photo on my 72 for extra filteration, i have 2 emp400s on the side for added filteration. I dont see why 3 sponge filters wouldnt work for the tank as long as you have good oxygen and do your water changes twice a week.

k so am runnign 3 100g rated sponge filters on my 72 and 1 50g and that doubel sponge and an aqueaon 10 on my 30

that should be fine. if your running them on air make sure to do LOTS of gravel vacs and water changes,DONT CLEAN THE SPONGE FILTERS VERY OFTEN,maybe 3-4 times a year
