sponge filters

I got one that looks similar to the hydro, and it comes with its own airstone inside, mounted on a tube that leads to the top of the sponge, where you connect your hose.

I don't think you could overfilter your tank with sponges... the water gets pulled from all directions so it's not a strong suction like with a HOB or canister or overflow.
 
Definitely no worries about overfiltration with the sponge filters. The Hydor V would be fine in a 20 gal...I've used V's in 20s for years.
 
Ok got all the heaters/sponge filters/thermometers Now I need a air pump that can hangle them and future expansion. I don't imagine suprassing 24 outlets on it and I'd like it to be under 100 dollars. Any thoughts? Should I start a new thread?
