Maybe I'm thinking too far into this but why would someone give you a saltwater rays a gift if you don't have a saltwater tank? Secondly, why would you except it if you can't provide an adequate home for it, leaving it in a bag the entire duration? Why wouldn't you ask where this "gift" came from and take it back so it'll go to someone who can take care of it, not kill it and possibly get store credit.
