Ooh, looks like a Florida to me. Take another look at the dorsals- they're pretty distinctly separated. The mouth takes a while to reach full size. You're gonna need a bigger tank!
One more question, how can they possibly live in such a small creek?!
Havn't seen a bass bigger than 12 inches there, but there is a lot of them.
I'd say the creek is maybe 2-3 feet at the deepest, and I even exaggerated that a bit!
If the creek connects to a larger body of water, the bass may be coming upstream to forage and breeding downstream. Another possibility is that the fish are washed in from ponds or larger streams during high water events.
Like I said the creek is supposively connected to a small pond.
But I havn't been that far back. (there's a bear that lives next to the creek) So could that be where they are coming from?
