I could of sworn I replied to this, but anyway. Spotted bass max out at around 24" in the wild. They are much like smallmouth in that they eat the same food, live in the same habitat, and pretty much have the same needs. They will outcompete and drive out smallmouths if introduced in smallmouth waters. You will need a larger tank, might be able to get away with 125G but 180G would probably be better.

They will eat live food (minnows, shiners, crayfish), but you should be able to get some on frozen foods like most other fish.
Some are found in stillwater, but mostly in clean flowing water which will be cooler, preferable < 75F.

Also, they tend to be a bit more aggressive than other bass so take that into consideration.

awesome. the bass is about 8 inches and in with my 10 inch bluegill. and yeah he seems a bit aggressive, constantly chasing the gill. he wont take prepared or frozen yet, but he took some feeders and nightcrawlers. hopefully the bluegill will "train" the bass to take the prepared and frozen. these two will be going into my 200g later on with some other exotics hopefully.

Good luck
