Hello, i have a 1200 gallon pond in my backyard that is 4 feet deep on the deep end and 1.5 on the shallow end, i have 2 largemouth bass, 4 koi, and 2 channel catfish, i live in northern california near sacramento where we dont have many extreme temperatures, its just a normal rainy winter usually no freezing temperatures but i was wondering if i could get a spotted gar to go in the pond, i know they dont get much bigger than full grown koi so i dont think they could do much harm.. im just wondering if its a good idea or not? id like an opinion from someone more experienced than i am lol thank you anyone who can help

cmon.. cant st least one person give their opinion to help
Well let me start with this, the spotted gar will be absolutely fine in the pond. Spotted, LNG, and alligator gar can survive pretty extreme temperature BASED OFF MY OWN EXPERIENCE. Then again 2/4 fish you just mentioned is illegal in CA. Hope that helps :)
