ok i dont know if you can but is there a way to see if your gar is a male or a female? becus im thinking of geting another one and i dont whant a male and female.
I don't believe there is any way to tell what sex they are from looking at them. Anyways, the chances of having a pair of gars mate in an aquarium is probably pretty low. They're not like cichlids, which will seemingly breed with anything that moves .
Don't worry about the sex of the new gar. You won't have any issues either way (mating or same-sex aggression).
