Hi All,
I have been away from the forums lately due to extensive work with the spotted gar project this summer, including some of our experiments. I will include more information later, but right now I am gauging interest in some available specimens of spotted gars (these are verified spotted gars, not Floridas) we have.
The dual purpose of this will be to allow for some spotted gar specimens to be made available to hobbyists, and for any funds generated from their sale to go directly back into the spotted gar project (maintaining the juveniles during the experiment as well as housing them).
Because the experiments already take up a lot of my time, I wanted to find out what the interest may be from you guys before I commit to putting a limited number up for sale.
Thanks for any interest/comments, and I will follow up with further details based on the response.--
--solomon
PS-- these would be young of the year spotted gars (artificially spawned, so none taken from the wild), ranging around 4-7". photos of juveniles and adult spotted gars can be seen in the gar section of www.primitivefishes.com.
