Spotted pike characins with limas?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont see a problem as long as the pike arnt smalle enough to be eaten. long skinny fish can be a problem when mixing with catfish but as long as they are close to the same size it shouldnt be a problem.

Long skinny catfish with long skinny pike. As long as they're closely matched in size you shouldn't have a problem. I would expect the cat to grow faster, however. I know that South American pike characins are relatively peaceful fish that don't bother anything too big to eat. They're fairly sociable fish as well who like to shoal.

Get the pikes larger if you can. Limas I think will outgrow them otherwise. They would be good combo though.
