I hear ya lol. I suppose I could see where he may think I didn't know what I was buying according to the way I wrote my first post though. Although I may not of known scientific names I did have a very good idea of max size, tank mate compatibility, basic dietary needs, etc. When I bought them all 5 had bodies smaller than 50 cent pieces and all looked the same. It was not until they grew a bit that there was a noticeable difference in appearance.

Well I have seen Maculatus that just look like that so I guess that petstore I seen them at were labeling them wrong.

I didn't mean to come off wrong but for every Id a person tries to help out with there seems to be 10 others that say different. I guess I shouldn't use exclamation marks as I wasn't trying to be hostile. I also wasn't stating that buying these fish without an ID was wrong. I just stated I myself find out what the id is before buying but still sometimes after have to ask to confirm as like always nobody is 100 percent right all the time especially when fish are juveniles!!!
