Don't get your hopes up. Mine are about 4" maybe smaller. I have had them 8-12 months with barely any growth.

i guess it depends on the species,never had spotted(always wanted the black belt ones)but my red hooks grew fast got them and the oscar as babies,the oscar was 2 inches and they were small than him,he is now 8 inches and they are around4 maybe five one is bigger than the other two,thried to get a photo to compare the size took this pic last night.
