Yeah your pics suck dude....

But not sucky enough to not say that that really does look right for a typical Spotted (great lakes) musky..Still hard to say as the variability in the Hybrids can and will show up as spotted fish rather than barred but it has more typical E. masquinongy traits as far as color goes...I can not tell if it has morphological traits typical to E. lucius or not...

You said that the hybrid was "just a big psycho fish" - Will this, being the Muskellunge, also become a psycho fish as well?

Do you mean they get super nasty, or just super predacious?

I'm still not sure that is an actual E. masquinongy and not a hybrid..The hybrid can show spotting such as this also. I'm only saying that by the pics it shows one trait leaning in that direction...

By psycho I mean the way they respond to about everything. They are nuts and tend to act that way. They are not really aggressive they just go nuts in a tank and end up banging themselves off the glass for hours on end at times.
Both are like this to an extent but the Hybrid fish seem to make a sport out of it. They really suck as a typical aquarium fish..They are best kept by themselves in a big tank. They do not adapt well to tankmates and always seem twitchy and on edge.

i say its a hybrid i have two and they both have spot, quet a bit of spots to

They eat everything and they get big! Last time I was in Minnesota (4-5 years ago) the MINIMUM keeper size was 40". It was several years after they started stocking muskies at that lake and there was a noticable difference in the Bass and Pike fishing (as in noticably worse).

Im not sure if this will help or not. But it might jsut help you figure out wich fish you are dealing with

Yeah mine seem spooky too, have to move slowly.
