i don't snag any fish. it is illegal to do it here in MN. i say "top my" as a challenge to myself. i don't "need to/ have to" but i want to as i love catching monsters. still doesn't take any fun away from a 5" lake sturgeon i catch or any inbetween, but it is still fun to go for it.

lol ok well snagging is illegal here to but i do it every now and then for salmon but didnt exactly since i attempted last year at fall was my first time for salmon/steelhead..but you should of made the top my thing more clear it sounded like it was to me..but i like catching big fish to

i am sorry you misunderstood my post, i listed the sizes of my personal best landed fish to help cearify that i was refering to my own personal best fish i would like to top. here are a few pics of some of them. look at the link in my sig for the sturgeon pics. i unfortunately don't have my 53" lake sturgeon on film.i also do alot of catfishing aswell.

i am sorry you misunderstood my post, i listed the sizes of my personal best landed fish to help cearify that i was refering to my own personal best fish i would like to top. here are a few pics of some of them. look at the link in my sig for the sturgeon pics. i unfortunately don't have my 53" lake sturgeon on film.i also do alot of catfishing aswell.

I got out for the first time of the year yesterday. Went looking for sauger and utterly struck out...but it was a still great day, I always forget over the winter how much I truly enjoy just being outside!

good luck on sauger..hybrids are hard to catch..but yea its at the point where some places you can fish open water..

Don't find many hybrids (saug-eye) but normally I can time it right on the sauger and limit out prety quickly...yesterday just wasn't one of those times

I really want to catch a carp, any size, because last year I went to Carp Fest. It was a fishing tournament and I caught about every other type of fish in the lake EXCEPT carp. Lol now I'm bound and determined to get atleast one!

wow a tournament for carp..thats different..but at least your bound and determined thats the spirit of fishing!

this year ill be going for some large river catfish as well as some bass but earlier today i went for some trout and unfortunatly caught none
