Ive seen rays die with that green spot on the belly. Not sure if it comes after death. Or if they die cause of it. But Its only happened to my on fresh imports. May it was a parasite? Maybe from the food? What were you feeding?

this had been fat and healthy for over a year, and I never have fed it live food. It has been eating shrimp, smelt, fish fillet, and occasionally pellets.

Crap :( sorry to hear

That blowz...sorry to hear of your loss. :rip

Could it be some bacteria or other inhabitants was stressing out the ray?

Sounds exactly what happened to my motoro.

Swimming and eating normally then boom dead with in hours. No curling, nothing, dead with the only visible symptom as the green spot on the belly.

ahhhhh ive been waiting for this thread

levi i think the bacteria count in your water might be off the scale, the drip system might keep everything else in check but it doesnt change enough water fast enough (by volume) to keep bacteria populations in check.

it might explain or have a connection to the demise of your black arowana, your jag, some of the other fish youve lost and the reacuring health problems theyve had like the fungal infections (perch), and the demise of your ray.
