Here's an update of this beauty as of today. The pics were taken without flash, NO photoshop of any sort! How the fish looks in pics are EXACTLY how he looks in person!

fertile?!

Actually he IS fertile! two weeks ago, he bred with a KKP and I had to seperate them soon after doing their thing due to female showing aggression towards this guy. After three days, I saw black dots on the eggs in the morning and was going to seperate them from the female when I get home, but when i did........she ate them all:( But yea, he IS fertile!

cool, one of the few SRT that's actually fertile..... surprised noone picked up yet. Just wish the red covered the face as well and kok was more pronounced other than that great specimen though, good luck on the sale.

Yea, you are right. Most RT males are infertile, but what I noticed is that there's a handful of RT or SRT owners with fertile males. Even if they are fertile, they just seem to have lower percentile of fertilizing the eggs than other pure breeds though.

The head is a little smaller than usual, because he's next to the female at the moment. I agree with you on the redness and pearls filling the rest of his face. That's the only thing that holds this SRT back from being a true masterpiece!:headbang2:D

Hey might sound like a silly question but what does SRT stand for? And what is this fish crossed with?
