SRT Progression Thread

My SRT from CjBarth. Well, Wasn't sure whether to call it a SRT or RT, but since its already this orange red without even fading yet, I thought I'd call it a SRT. Anyway, this guys a beast. When I got him, He looked like a regular GT but after a couple weeks he colored up to a light orange. Now, his color is an orange-red. Really hoping this guy doesn't peel. His color is just too nice as it is imo. Chris, you jealous?

1st picture is how it looked toward the end of July

2nd and 3rd picture is from today. Camera doesn't do his color justice. He is about 3" now.

Last picture is how he looked a couple weeks after being in my tank.(2" long)

*Will try to edit this thread as much as I can. Hopefully this guys fertile.

I wouldn't worry about his color getting washed out if he fully peels, you may find that it becomes more intense. Can't wait to see how this little guy turns out.

Thanks RD. I'm really hoping his orange-red color will intensify to red. His flowerline is so similar to that of a ZZ's lol. Thats probably the one thing I don't like about him. That and his aggression towards his siblings.

i was going to order some from cjbarth but i had to go on hiatus for about 3 months. and i was supposed to leave my apt this month....still in limbo .

hopefully she still has RT's when i move and settle in. soo envious water you got a nice one from the batch you bought

Chris is a guy lol. I can't believe I got this guy either, and I bought a small batch too lol. Chris always has fry, just PM him whenever you want some. He's a great guy. I would buy more from him if I had more tanks. And as you can see, his fish aren't halfbad

Looking Good!!! In regards to your pm to me......it is a waiting game to test him.....but as in regards to his color...it will get better!!!! Keep feeding him good foods and a variety at that...and.... that flowerline will most likely disappear the pearls will come in more on his head and on the body...they tend to come later as they mature!!!! oh yeah....am I jealous.......hhhmmmm....NO!! just glad you are happy with the fish I sent ya! I have many fish, (but i do like yours!!!!! ) ......Keep the thread updated with his progress!!

Chris has almost single handly taken over srt and rt industry in the u.s all by himself
I plan on getting some more from him here soon. Can't beat the quality for the price!!!
