Super Red Texas, although I wouldn't consider mine a SRT, more in the realm a high quality R/T, He has some nice pearling & turns a dark orange/red color when showing his dominance, I will try & post more pics when he turns darker
I don't like the face and his eyes that much but his fins wil be nice. Colors should get better depends how you care for him since he's a faded one.
Get him over a darker substrate can't tell if it's a low color or he's just washed out from all his light colored surroundings. His face is exactly why I don't recommend using midas / devil to breed rt. He's a cool fish but leans way too much toward midas looks while quality specimens have almost perfect texas body conformation.
I agree about the darker substrate and a background.....especially since cjbarth does too he would know.
Ok thx, I've been thinking about giving my tank a make over for awhile now, I have a 75gl with sand & crushed coral mix & always liked the black sand substrate look, might be time for a change,,, will keep you updated
