SO I am planning on building stacked 300 gallon aquariums. Around how expensive would it be to make this out of acrylic. The dimensions will be 96 by 36 by 20. How much would the acrylic cost for a tank like this?

I was quoted $900 dollars on the cost of building a 478 gallon acrylic fish tank made out of 3/4 acrylic. The tank would be eight feet long two feet deep and four feet wide.
This is cool in that the cost to buy a new arylic tank or one used of this size is at least $8000 to $2000.

Please can you give me the contact info for where you got your quote because i am being quoted for a 450gal tank $3,104 just for the cell-cast acrylic and $490 for shipping that doesn't include polishing the edges which starts at $250.
Now granted that is still cheaper then buying it all ready made but wow your quote is bottom. Please send me contact info
What about a standard 240 gallon. 8x2x2? I think it works out with 2 and a half sheets acrylic

You can do a square 240 gallon from just 2 sheets 4x4 and 2feet high

When i have the space i plan on doing 8x4x2. I think its 5 sheets of acrylic 480 gallon
