Just got him a couple hours ago. I am going to try and keep this updated now and again as he comes along.
So far....he's a little rammy. Got him a powerhead going asap hoping he will "perch" like my Jur.

Yeah. I'm freaked out about it too. Mu Jur was a pain and constant panic until it was acclimated and happy. The thing that's getting me is he is doing some darting when the lights go out. I'm just trying not to mess with him at all. Just observe from a distance. Trying to lessen the stress on him.
 
The thing that sucks is I can buy a fish for....$60 stick it in a tank, after proper acclimation, let it be and it lives. This fish and my other one I almost watch them to death freakin out over everything it does.
That being said. He is being spazzy sometimes. Swimming hard in the current and some head shaking. Looks like fish coughing.
Like I said. I will be waking up to look in on him throughout the night.
 
don't stress, you've got the right idea. Leave him for a while, no lights, and approach the tank as little as possible.
