Making progress. He is seeing the black worms as food now. I'm feeling better.
I may break down and do the guppy thing once. Maybe notand stick my ground with worms

I'm back to Fla now so i will post weekly pics in this thread
 
Can't wait to get home and see him. He is taking to the black worms really good now although he will not go out of his way to get them. Spoiled. Knows more will come from above.
Now on to red worms.
I feel that I am on my way to having a beautiful monster.
 
Please post up pics when you can,.... and glad to hear he is doing so good..
 
Still doing well and we are trying to get some size on him. My wife is stuck dealing with him while I only get home every other week to check in. I will get them up as soon as I get to see the lil guy.
having a hard time getting him to switch from black worms. Feeding is a whole long process daily to get a little belly on em

i always say as long as they are eating.. it is a very good thing.. they will progress to different foods.. perhaps you can dip in vitamin substance..like i used to do with my arowana...
 
He's up to about 9 inches now. Eating well. Never had a problem after he got to eating regularly. I try not to change much. Keep the water good and that's about it. I just admire him but I don't add fish, change fish out, add gravel, remove the very little gravel in there, nothing. I am scared of this fish really

Sorry for the crap pic. I don't put light on him either. Had to take the pic without the flash making him look bleh. His colors are nice and crisp.

Awesome tig mate,i really really want one of these,been offered one at 7.5" including streamers for £150 english but i dont know if i should get a bigger more settled one,where did you get yours from jakethesnake?
