Would this work with a 240? I have a 240 gallon tank that I want to put in a room, and I was thinking of using a very open stand so that I could put another tank underneath it. Its 8x2x2, my only concern would be how to support that much weight.. Any ideas?

I have seen it done before, just make sure you use a VERY strong open stand

Where could I buy a open stand strong enough? I've used those premade racks for storage like at homedepot, do they make any that are strong enough to support 2,000 pounds haha

If your tank and stand are 8'x2'x2' footprint. you can put a smaller tank under it on the floor. Something like a 6'x1.5' will give you 135gal. or am I mis-reading this and you want to put two 240 gal tanks on top each other? I have 240 with another tank under it on the floor with a 72"x18" footprint. I made the stand with doubled up 2x4's at all 4 corners and in the front & back center.
