I think aside from my Cubans these would be my top pick for 'most desirable cichlid', I like their profile much more than the standard rivulatus. Unfortunately I have never seen them for sale in my country.

I had to do away with the heavily planted tanks as these goes wont let my plants stay down long lol I started to like this scape tho, just layed the last layer of sand on top...I'm from New Zealand.
I sympathise with always messing with the scape! Personally I liked your lush scape a bit more, maybe because it is less common to see these types of cichlid in planted tanks. Is that big vertical tree stump real or fake?
