How are the condition of the doors? Is the one left open can still be closed? HOw much "work" would you say needs to be done on the stand and canopy?

yes the open one can be close. Some cleaning and a new paint will make it look nice. Set is in good condition. Strength wise, it's a good set. Strong stand
