stand for two 75's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm so glad you posted this. I am actually thinking about building a stand to fit two 75s and was about to start a thread. I know that many people have tanks with 150+ gallons of water on their floors, but these tanks/stands usually have a larger footprints and better weight distribution. This is 150 gallons in a much smaller area - do you know if there is concern for having too much weight for a floor to handle. What are everyone's thoughts? If someone were to build this setup from scratch, would it by a good idea to make an oversize stand to distribute weight?

Pictures from tonight to show the stand/tanks better and how the stand was built around the 75gallon tank on the bottom.

that is awesome! I'll post mine when I can too. The design is similar to yours. thanks again for the ideas and pics.

Awesome design!

I'm planning on making a stand similar to this one but putting 2 29s on the bottom.

The stand I am planning on making is going to be a little wider than yours so I was wondering how is the plywood on the top is doing?

Seems to be doing fine, the tank has been empty for a while though. The plywood is 3/4" and I put two pieces on the top to make it more secure since the tank is not sitting on the corners of the stand.
