How thick are most of your tank skin?

I'm thinking about this right now with my new build. I was thinking maybe 3/8", but possibly 1/2" just to make it more solid. I will be going for furniture quality with my new setup.

I've put off skinning mine for a year... but I'm thinking the same thing - 3/8 or 1/2". Need to get out to the lumber yard and see what's best in the type of wood I want.

If the stand is built right then 1/4" is fine because its for looks anyways.

+1, I'm going with 1/4 cause it's mostly just for show and I could use the extra money elsewhere. My stand is solid enough on it's own.

1/4 is probably just fine... I'm gonna use 1/2" because I do everything overkill an like everything solid an sturdy
