Thanks to Likestofish I finally kno what this beast is. ITs a Star gazer i caught him in the golf of mexico and i caught it in 3-4' of water. Likestofish told me they get big and have the capability of shocking and envenomating. It has ate a fish that was the same size as himself. Sadly the two fish he ate were a baby snook like fish and a flounder! neither were meant for food!!!:irked:But i love this fish he is in a 10g for now with a bio-wheel and its for a 30g and it pumps 150gph and i have a air stone it the corner so its a pretty healthy tank. He eats goldfish and im gonna start tryin to get him on to M.Y.S.I.S. shrimp.

Sorry for the pic its hard to get him out of the sand and try not to get shocked or poisoned! lol:ROFL:

yeah they are poisonous and electrified.I wouldnt handle him anymore if I was you but at his present size he may not be that bad.......why take the chance. It is definitely a star gazer though.

Ya i havent handled him since... and yes hes saltwater
nasty to me is just different and different is very good.

Stargazers are excellent aquarium fishes. They are vicious as hell, though. Tankmates are going to be a challenge for you....not so much of a challenge for the 'gazer.
What's nice about them, well to me anyway, is that they don't need a big tank due to their sedentary life style even though they can grow pretty big.
Good luck with him.....awesome and very different fish!!
