Even though anakin got his arms and legs cut off and was set on fire atleast he lived! Mace got his hand cut off and was thrown from a high rise window while being hit with force lighting!

havent seen the episode 3 yet but cant wait to.
as far as episode 1 sucking, the way i look at it episode 1 is setting the mood for the hole series and the workup to the empire. that kinda stuff always takes time.
i look at all 3 of the new episodes as demonstrations of lucas' incredibly bad lack of moviemaking skill. I used to attribute his blatant problems to senility, but then I found out he got immense help in the production of the original SW trilogy and the indiana jones trilogy too.
