one of my starfishes legs fell off any info i was told it will turn into a new starfish. has this happened to any one else and what was the outcome

The starfish will grow a new legg.
Starfish come from starfish egg.
Maybe there is the confusion?

Here is a pic of a new startfish growing out of just one leg. It depends on the species, some can do it some cannot.
