I am looking into buying THIS glass 120 gal. aquarium from glasscages.com and wanted to know if the starphire glass upgrade is worth the money. Is it really that much better or will I not be able to tell the difference? Thanks!

I wouldn't because it's 1/3 the price of the tank, just for front glass option. But I'm poor as dirt so I guess if you can afford it then it's probally alot better looking. Is it a show tank, going in the living room?
I wouldn't upgrades the sides or the back.
imho

this one sounds nice to me:

150 Longhttp://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=OrderForm&sProdID=AQ_150Long, 60 x 24 x 25 Tall$525

but then I would be mad I didn't get an extra foot for only $25

180 Widehttp://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=OrderForm&sProdID=AQ_180Wide, 72 x 24 x 25 Tall$550

starfire is nice if you have the money

I have one tank with low-iron glass (not starphire brand name) and I can tell a difference when the tank is empty and clean. After it is filled with water and the lighting is on though I cant tell a difference. Maybe if the tanks were right next to eachother I could, but even then I think I would have a hard time. For me I wont be paying extra for it again.

ive never seen it in person but it seems like it would make a nice difference:

Ya the pictures of examples like that convinced me. It really does look better even in person next to regular glass. I think that is part of the reason the examples are rarely of actual tanks though. Filled, stocked and lighted is the point the difference is nearly impossible to notice (in my limited experience).

yeah itd be nice to see an actual tank. i wonder if it would be like acrylic, because acrylic tanks are much clearer than glass...

I have heard varying results. I personally noticed a big difference on one friends tanks he has one glass and one starfire and the starfire was great. But even then its hard to say because the lighting while it was the same could have one weak light(or lightbulb) or an obstruction very hard to say sorry.

I've had a starfire 210 - it was the clearest tank I've ever owned. A bit pricey but very worth it.
