I've had a starfire 210 - it was the clearest tank I've ever owned. A bit pricey but very worth it.
got any pics??? :)

it makes a world of a difference.. if you got the money buy it you wont regret it...

I don't think it is. two LFS's in my area both have the new marineland 300 gallon reef tanks setup with live rock and corals with the starfire fronts, and to me, it doesn't make much of a diffenence unless you look at the end of the glass pane. then you can see it is not green.

from the front, I don't think it makes much of a difference, at least for the price of the starphire..

does anybody have any PICS!?!?!?!?!?!? lol

Even if someone had some pictures of there tank with a Starphire front, you wont be able to tell a difference between it and any other tank posted here.
I bought a 180g from Tom at Glasscages a few years ago. And from the getgo, Tom told me I was wasting my money since I was keeping Cichlids and my Decor was Lake like. Tom was right cause I could tell no difference between it and the 125 gallon it sat next to. Where Starphire really pops, is when you have a lot of colors and contrast in your tank such as reef tanks. Although the difference is small, the clarity is there.
The only real difference I could find was when the tank was viewed from the side.
On the Starphire tank, when looked through from the side, showed a really clear view through the front back into my living room. It was like looking through a freshly Windex'ed window.
On the 125, when viewing through the front from the side, the green haze of the glass distorted and almost completely shutout the view into the living room.

But since myself and everyone I know views mostly through the front, I never saw the need for another Starphire tank.

I know some people's account of Starphire are different from other's, but this is what I experienced personally.

wow.. lot's of varying opinions! I think I'll go with the regular glass based on the seeming majority of people think that with the correct lighting there is no difference. Thanks guys!
