Well i was not happy with lighting options with the conopy i have now, its very slim and if i wanted to use PC's ot MH's it was just to close for comfort, and no place to put a fan.

but anyways here is where i am now, sorry i didnt get pics starting out, but i promis i will get more later today and better pics as well.

The wood is oak to match the stand as well.

Thank you, right now i am just useing T12 50/50's 2 36", but i am going back to a planted setup, with wood rooting plants. i like the way light reflects off the top of the water when the lights are higher off the tank, gives it that deep water effect.

The trim is on and the stain is in the process of being applyed, sorry for the bad pics, i allways end up taking pics at night when i dont have alot of light.

il get more pics tomarrow after i get the doors back on.

looks good.... wish i had that skill

(Q)nice tank! what type of sand did you use? and where did you get such nice large driftwoods??? wanna have something like that big

Thanks guys

its a mix of 4 sands, 2 dif PFS BTM sand and grey onyx, the driftwood i got from www.tedsfishroom.com ted is a great guy and will hook you up with show piece's of DW

(Q)Nice canopy! I also like your Weber Gold B grill!

Thanks , that grill kicks azz!!! :grinyes:

well the doors are back on and the lid has been takin off the other canopy and added to this one, so all i did is just make a new base for the lid lol

im not 100% happy with my stain job, it could match a little better but im going to rub it down some with som fine steel wool

il get more pics of it on the tank as soon as my wife gets home to help me get it up there. it has been on the tank a few times for test fittings and for adjustments and now the lights are also installed and its ready to go, still going to install fans and change up the lighting a bit for some live plants.
