Started my new taller canopy for my 240

that looks good, with the light high up to create the depth. how u attach the light into the cabinet top

at this time i am useing T12 36" bulbs and am useing the coralife bulb clips, they screw or glue into your canopy anyware you want them and just pop the bulb in.

i will be changeing the lighting to try something new, but not sure what yet, i do have some PC's 96w 50/50's, i may give that a try, and i may also try some MH bulbs as well

il try to get more pics. the canopy is off right now as im makeing a few changes

i would be careful of runninng MHs that close to the water. gonna make it nice and hot. just a word of caution.

the canopy looks great though

The base to the canopy is 16" it sits 1 3/4" down over the top of the tank to the water line, there is also a lid to the canopy that opens and closes that is 1 1/2"? but i am going to remove that and put that back on my other base canopy and just add different top, that you wont even notice, as im not tall enouph, lol and i'm 6ft


i have had MH's 16" above the water line on SW setup and i didnt even need to use a chiller. Tho that setup didnt have a canopy. but more then likely i wont be useing MH's on this setup and will be going with PC's and VHO's :D
