Finally time to make my probably last post on this thread...the 500 is complete...for now...until I can think of something else to do of course. Since I added around 110 fish in January, I have only lost maybe 10 to date, which have easily been made up for with new babies. Everybody seems happy and getting it on, there are always multiple fish holding.
I recently decided to do one final re-scape, I thought the previous driftwood was too large and tended to dwarf the fish, so I purchased some smaller "tree-like" manzanita pieces from Manzman and really like the new look. In particular, the two Asian Upside-Down catfish seem to really enjoy chilling in the branches. Of course, this also makes better use of the vertical space in the tank, which was my goal.
These are the first pictures too that show the completed DIY stand and canopy with doors and the cut MFK logos that I spray painted with a "hammered silver" that look really sweet up close.
As always, comments, questions or suggestions are welcome. Enjoy!
