Starting a new tank

Ok guys- another question. This one may seem rather stupid, but oh well. How long should a leak test last? I was testing my tank outside, but last night it rained lol. I made a new mark to incorporate the added rain water (Dont worry, Im gonna clean the tank ) and i havent noticed any water loss throught the day. If I dont see any water gone by morning, can I start on cleaning and cycling tomorrow?

be careful, I think reptile tanks are made with thinner glass. Anyone else have word?
