starting a planted tank

If your going to be able to look through the tank from both sides planting could be kinda tricky. If it was my tank I would plant both sides in a kinda triangle going towards the middle. Then have a small pile of rocks with some moss/riccia attached in the middle. You could keep the taller plants to the side with the lower growing plants towards the middle. That way the fish would have plenty of open swimming area and still be veiwable from both sides.

good luck im trying to start a planted tanks to. we will see whos comes out better :)

I was also thinking something like that triangular design. Im busy trying to make my 15gallon to test it out first. I had alot of trouble in the beginning but just got more lighting which is essential depending on what plants you have, and I'm getting fertilizer soon. Im also getting a 55gallon soon so there will be plenty place to play around with there ;)

thanks for all the info guys...i should have said this at the begging, i am not really a noob, i have had 2 other 55 gallons( not planted) 20 gallon nano reef, and right now i got a 90 gallon reef tank....so i guess i am just new to the plant thing
