Starting a Salt Aquarium!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
MH are good lights - what the photo-feeders need is more high end spectrum, UV band light source. One reason and maybe the most important is the processing of calcium. I wouldn't be too quick to thourgh in an anemone to a new tank - lots of micro stuff needs time to grow 1st. I'll wait 1 year til the tank is fully established.

Never planned on it. Long term plan is to get the anemone. Short term is to get everything settled in and to have a respectable looking aquarium, nothing more :)

I'll have to look into the UV lights, though. If there's one thing I know I have to do more research on in regards to salt aquariums, it's the lighting that certain things need. Thanks for the heads up!
