Starting Discus Breeding(Hopefully)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I started breeding discus I got most of my useful information from www.simplydiscus.com this site is all about discus and alot of top US breeders are member of this site if you would like acurate information then go to this site as they is lot of time and effort required in breeding discus. That is why they are so expensive. Good luck.

Thanks for your help. I am really beginning to get anxious. I just love the guys. Every time I go to the LFS I am almost in tears because I want to bring some home with me.

My husband and I are doing this together and last night we decided we would get my old 35 out, set it up for my breeding pair of Angels from my community tank. They've only spawned once and when I woke up the next morning all the eggs were gone, but we are hoping they will again. Then my Community tank will be down to 1 big black Angel, 3 silver Angels, Pleacos, Platties, Swoards, Red Spera Tetra, Cories, Siamese Algea eaters, 2 Flying Foxes and we will add 6 Discus. See how the Angel breeding goes and see how well the Discus do in the community tank for a little bit. Right now the Discus I am looking at are babies, so it will be a while before they pair off. They are Red Turquoise Discus (24.99 each) Anyhow, what do you all think of this???? Thanks again for all your help and time.
