Are they going to fight till there's only one left?

I owned green sunfish in past, they are super aggressive to each other till it's only one green sunfish left unless it just happens to be a mated pair. Don't think I owned any mellow green sunfish...oh well good luck with your new setup and fish!

There's the possibility that there is a mated pair in there. I caught them all in the exact same spot right underneath the dock where I was standing. I was reeling in my line each time and let it rest in the water right at the base of the dock. It was shallow water and this is their spawning time anyways so there's a chance I got a pair near their spawn site. We'll see. Thanks for the heads up. This is my first native tank so I'll be watching and learning.

Nice! Throw some driftwood in there! :D would look pretty awesome with a bullhead too

Got a massive piece of driftwood prepped and put in my tank. I had to tie some rocks to it to water log it again. I also planted some anacharis in the tank too.
The three green sunfish, like you all warned me, began to fight constantly so I took out the two larger ones and legally placed them in a private pond. I caught some more young bluegill and put them in there instead. I'm leaving for a week and so I'll post pictures when I get back.

Except that the seachem prime that you use to treat the water in an aquarium says that it's for ornamental fish only. I don't know that the green sunfish were really big enough to eat. The largest one was maybe 7 inches or so long.
