If I were you, I'd just stop arguing at this point, arguements like this tend to go on and on until either the thread is closed or all the "derailing" comments are deleted (I know because I have been in a few arguements like this).

Yes I agree.

I'm just going to leave it.

Never said I was personally financially well off. I said many of the aro keepers on this sight are hence why you are getting comments saying upgrade now. Yes your aro is fine right now, just save up your money and get the bigger tank as soon as you can. I happen to be 16 and working 20-30 hours a week so I can provide all of my animals with the best.

the op should (like everyone else) look at the messed up combined aro sticky...all his questions would be answered in there if he could find them...

silver aro min tank size for adults 8'x3'x2'...anything else is just a grow out...

and YOUR :welcome: :mwave:

WOW sorry i asked.

Anybody know of another dedicated aro site?

You know I have always been taught the only stupid question is the one you dont ask. and only stupid people will not offer their advised because they are unsure of them selves.

sbuse i have been looking at the sticky trying to weed my way through the junk like this.

Cliff thanks for the info

gshock and bderick67 thanks for the attempt at help, I think.

I was just asking for information if I wanted to listen to an argument I would sit in the living room with my girlfriend.

but anyways I would like to get this back where I started

If I could please redirect every body to my original and 1st post there is other info I am asking about OTHER than the tank size.

As cliff stated I know a 125 is not a permanet home for a full grown aro. But within the next year to year and a half I am building a house with 2 300 or 500 gal systems into the walls of my home. there for my aro will have a nice home to live in for the rest of its life and my reef system will have a great place to grow.

Thanks to everybody for the help and entertainment.

thats my point since the sticky has been combined to save space it is usless...you can't find anything in it...

i also gave you the min adult tank size...as i know you can't find it in the sticky...

in the next year to year and a half your aro will have long out grown you tank...it is not uncommon to have a 24"+ aro before that time...i think i have the fastest growing aros around with 24"+ at 10 months, but thats one example of what you can expect you little aro to get to in your 1.5yrs...

in short your 125gal will not last as long as you think and as long as had be sugested...

i ment the sticky comment to be seen by mods and looked into that mess and cleaned...as in take out some misleading info, comine the 8 different lists of food...have it list the sp. with min tank size as a header...things like that...extra info moved to the end of the thread and not inter mixed...

Just to clear that up a little, the information gshock and bderick gave was true, Cliff's info wasn't, though I do agree, the constant arguing was uncalled for, but what they said was true, you cannot keep any aro in a 125 gallon for life, it is possible for a silver aro to last about a year (sometimes in rare cases, 2 years), though on average, they will grow to about 24-30" in a year, then their growth slows down, but it just depends on the individual aro's growth rate, but you will definitely need to get it into a larger tank before it gets to 24", and preferably before it gets to 20", your final tank will need to have at least a 6x2 footprint and will need to be at least 24" high.
