  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well having tank or not i will be getting it no matter what plus there is no harm in suggestioning before hand so i can plan things out now. Yes i am somewhat keen to the trimac as well they look awsome!! Lol but i want to explore other options as well! Any more suggestions?

Lyonsi Cichlids are rare cichlids now they arent in the wild anymore and they are cool fish you can keep 2 in a 75 for life

One step ahead hellman i alredy have some lyonis growing out for my current 75g that i will hopefully get a pair from and sell the rest. =) anyone else have any suggestions?

I suggest you get the tank before the fish, as others have said. No bigger than a 75 is kinda vague. Pick a fish you really like, then figure out if you can afford a tank to keep it.

Just for the record, lyonsi can be found in the wild. They are an endangered species... not yet extinct. But they are a bit rare, considered to some other more widely kept cichlids in the hobby... though, I have noticed an uptick in popularity of them recently. Which is a good thing, imo.

Good luck with your search!

Ok Let me make an edit: A SOLO male fish for a 75G, has personality, gets a nuchal hump, and aggressive. Will go with simple tank deco (no gravel and a few objects for hiding spots and such) Either 2 cans or 1 can and 1 HOB for filters. Not too concern about cleaning as i have a good amount of time on my hands. What about Paratheraps breidohri does anyone have any experience with these fish? The colors on this fish are amazing in this video

Nice hump in a 75 gallon tank I would recomend looking into a male Amphilophus xiloaensis.

Havent bought the tank yet but i have some money laying around so im going to be end up buying a tank, nothing bigger than a 75g. Whatever i do end up buying will definitly not be from LFS though i will have it shipped here through Dan or Rapps or someone of the sort. Whatever i do end up getting will only go in after the tank has been setup/ cycled etc. Any suggestions? =)

i think it is good that you are buying from a breeder, they have the right fish and the right information, this info won't help but i have a 55 gallon that i got for $100 with the stand, a filter, a undergravel filter, all the gravel, and a heater. now i have 2 mechanical filters in there for my fish, i have a juvenile blood parrot hybrid, a juvenile male black convict, a juvenile male firemouth, a juvenile senegal bichir, and a juvenile striped raphael catfish in there
