so im starting over! i sold my oscar and my jack Dempsey. so I was walking around the pet store looking for fish and out of the corner of my eye I spotted him I dont know what he is but all I know is I got want I wanted hes only about 4 inches but I will post a pic of him later im cleaning the tank and letting the levels clear out but i wanted to know the pet store guy sold me silversides frozn fish things but is there something better i should be feeding him? and i have the cheap rock on the bottom (the black and purple stuff from walmart) i want to know if there is somethingelse like sand or round gravle? thanks for the help

you gonna just keep polys? :D
a variety would be best for him.
such as frozen,freeze dried,pellets and the occasional live foods.
 
no i only want the one or i might get another down the road but if i do i want the yellow and black one! and as for the pics i dont know how to oad them on here for you guys to see and as for the other fish i want to make the tank look good and i think a hole bunch of polys would look funny i want other fish the guy at the aquarium said i could use semi-aggressive fish such as chiclids and such on the like of those but i know there r others. I am going to get a fire eel if the two wont fight i like my fish to get along! any suggestions?
 
i dunno but the guy at the store hadthe poly in the same tank as a fire eel and they r apeacefull eel i looked but i could be wrong if you want to prove me that is..... but as for te ofther poly i dont know the name but the show your poly thread has a poly that looks like mine and a yellow/black poly aswell....r their special kinds of pelet food that the polys eat.

Has anyone ever had a poly they could hand feed and how far down should i lower the water level so my poly dosent knock its head off on the top of the tank?
 
i do have a bigger tank now thank you very much im doing the cycles befor i put him in now!
