I started with 10 last may. then I had 7 until this may when I forgot my water on for 7 hours. I killed everything in my system. that is around 800 gal. what im hoping is to start thinning the reds around dec. and eventually having a mixed tank. hoping to get a few pairs of reds eventually to try breed again. and thanks
went down stairs this morning. to find one of my reds still breathing but missing the rear 1/3rd of his body. hoping that's the only casualty I've suffered this week. been working a lot of hours the last couple weeks. going to clean out the freezer soon and rotate all the old food out. and start feeding this years northern. hoping that will slow down any aggression. and the tank was at 81 degrees this morning also.so opened up some windows to try cool the basement. I need to get some new pics up. soon I hope
well been working a ton of hours the last 5 weeks. 3 weeks ago my stock tank bottom cracked. went out and bought a new rubber made brand, but it's a different shape and wont fit down my stairs. so im going to hit fleet farm and get a new one. same shape as the old one.also been losing a lot of red bellies while I've been working so much. house was at or over 80 for a week. caribs still seem to be doing well
ended up getting 2 100 gal stock tanks a couple weeks ago. got them set up and plumbed today. there not actually filering anything yet just circulating water. also got a text last night about 3 lg reds at petco for $8 ea. so I picked those up today and put them in one of the stock tanks. time to take some pics and thaw some food for them been a couple days since anyone has eaten
