Got them from Ken Davis. Very happy with all my fish from him!
As for what I'm keeping now, well you know I downsized a bit last year and somehow the fish just start creeping back in. I swear I don't know how it happens.
Right now I've got midas, hogas, isletas, cubans, cons, bichirs, Gymnogeos, red ceibals, just got some thai silk/titanium FH, a lot of random tiny fish (dwarf cichlids, bettas & gobies) and a giant gourami somewhere in there, and Danny's still going strong on the Tanganyikan cichlid front. Then somewhere in the middle of all that we started a little turtle collection.
We need to catch up. Will you be going to the MFK meet this year?

Thanks. I'm delightfully surprised by it too. I've seen some random hartwegi at shops and good color seems kinda hit and miss. Even with my own fish I notice some look waaaay better than others.

Very nice colors! How do you sex these guys?

I've been going by behavior, color and body shape which is by no means 100% accurate but it's been my means in situations where I can't, for some reason, vent a fish. With these guys, I tried venting them and I can't tell a difference between them but they're also 3-5" TL yet. Venting will be easier when they're at least 6" but by then I'm sure I'll have a pair picked out.

They're not much to look at when they're young but I'm really surprised with the sudden burst of color. The really bright yellows in the dorsal fins are amazing. I'm glad I got them!
I can't wait for my next order man, this stuff does not disappoint. The little hogas are looking awesome too BTW. Very nice red in the fins!
