Starving a Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its about three inches long. Im just worried that it might not make it. does the size of my tank play any part in this situation. its a three inch jardini in a 180 gallon tank.

fish can go a long time without really eating. they will eat everyday sometimes, but they can go a long time without, especially if they are no longer growing.

@ 3inch... DO NOT STARVE IT.
give whatever it will eat... Yes, ADULT aros can go for long w/o food but not baby aros. they dont have the fat reserves yet. It will need all the food it can eat.

I agree, my small jar is getting 2 bloodworm cubes per day. You just have to find something he will eat. The tank is kind of large for such a small fish. He is not going to travel the whole tank length looking for the blood worms. You could put a cheap plastic divider in it til he is larger.

It has eaten a couple of crickets this past week. but thats about it. i place the crickets right in front of it and it just looks at it. it wont even go near the pellets. should i put it into a smaller tank? if so what size tank should i put it into. thanks a lot

yeah it cruises the whole tank. when it ate the cricket, it hunted it down and ate it. i have seen this happen twice. maybe ill just put it in
a different tank.
