Starving a Needlenose

I got mine off live by feeding live once a week. On the other days I fed Krill and Silversides. I would drop them right infront of him and he would instinctivly snap at them. He would spit them out at first but he go use to it and i guess tired of only eating once a week.

Forgive me for being naive but when you all say silversides, do you mean like frozen/thawed or what?

Yes you can buy them frozen from you LFS and then just thaw in some cool water before feeding.

you could also theoretically use the silversides sold as saltwater bait, but most LFS carry frozen silversides.
