it took me about two weeks to get my two RBP to eat pellets _hikari gold cichlid pellets(the sinking type). just keep at it and they will eat, piranhas are stubborn when it comes to changing theirs diets. good luck

Thank u good advice :-)

you could try stuffing some pellets inside whatever you're feeding them...
that would be a good idea if you get to a point where you know for certain that he will not eat pellets and you want the added bonuses of feeding pellets, but if you do something like that after only trying for a short amount of time, you'll just have to start all over again once he eats the pellet-stuffed food. you'd be better off sticking with feeding pellets only until you're successful

good luck, i would like to see some pictures tho, haha

i agree with joediz... if they are not eating the pellets they probbally wont eat them after the switch from stuffed to plain pellets, best to keep trying the pellets (don't just try one kind swith them up, some pet stores sell pellets in bulk, they are better quality, so fill a bag with a few different kinds and see if any of them work, if you get them on some kind of pellet it wont be hard to get them onto what is convenient for you to pick up., cheers

just continue to put the feeds in the aquarium and it will eventually eat it when it's hungry enough.. patience is a virtue bro..

Hey guys i tried for 24 days and he didnt even touch it!! tried tying the pellet on a piece of string and dangling it in front of its mouth and he completely ignored.. LOL funny experiment though..

Plus i got tired of removing the pellets everyday.. so i went back to fresh frozen fish, squid, prawns.. *sigh*

You should try feeding squid prawns and pellets at the same time and everyweek slowly remove the amount of squid and prawns offered, untill it's just pellets
