State your aro/tank size

I Scleropages aureus bought at 5" Jan 4 1999. Last measured at 28" Feb 7, 2010.
2 Osteoglossum bicherrhosum bought at 5" march 12 2000. Measured at 36 and 38 1/2" on Feb 7, 2010.

After quarantine in a 180 they were moved to the 15,000. On feb 7 2010 they were caught and measured then added to the 52,000 where the still reside.

I wanted to know if my aquarium is big enough to house an arapaima. I’ve always wanted to keep one of those majestic beasts. I can keep one as a baby and grow it out in my tank but I’d very much like to keep it there for life, however I feel that the tank may be too small for a large beast such as the arapaima.


My tanks dimensions are :- 17.5ft (length) x 21 inches (width) x 3.5ft (height).

I have the length and height for an arapaima but the width is too tiny imo
