Stealth heaters...I regret it now.

i have never had a problem with stealths but a won bros heater cost me a good amount in fish when it failed bought a second one and that failed now all i use is stealths

Ouch..you got shocked? Man, I'm glad mine just crapped out on me instead of getting shocked.

Getting shocked sucks, I had both my arms in my tank, redecorating some drift wood when my heater turned on and gave me a nasty sting. I learned the hard way to make sure my heaters aren't cracked before I enter the water.

i have 3 stealth and all of them are nuts! i turn the dial to 75F and the water temp goes to 81F!!! at first i turned it at 79F and it went to 86F!!! somethings wrong.. that's why i'm planning to buy a temperature controller.. i do not want to loose my fish due to crazy heaters....

Watch the controller for the Won's. I have had 3 of their digital controllers crap out on me in the lase couple of years. I personaly use the titanium heaters as well, but use a Ranco controller on them. Couldn't afford to lose all the money invested in my reef due to a controller malfunction.
