I know that glass and acrylic is better, but there comes a time when the "needs" exceed the budget ;) and you have to find a cheaper solution, im gonna have to face that might happend, :l

I feel you with the budget, just wanted to make sure in case you set your tank up and cant get it heated properly. It will make your electricity bill a little higher but probably not by a lot, and im sure the cheaper pond will make up for that. Good luck and let us know how it goes

Its not for right now. Im in and Apartment right now, so everything is limited, dont want anything falling trough the floor :) But when i move, i might start something like this up, and if it Works ill definetly my a post about it here. I'm still yet to find out the Price one of these, but im thinking its gonna be cheaper.
 
That's what im thinking. Gotta find out his thick it is.

You could build a wood (steel?) frame around it with ribs, like an exoskeleton, to reinforce the box if it will not handle the pressure on its own.

Especially if you did bracing across the top it would help prevent bowing
